Gold open faced quarter repeater by Vacheron & Constantin

A very early and historically interesting Swiss 18 Carat gold open faced quarter repeating Lépine pocket watch with date, circa 1830. Cylinder movement, repeating the hours and quarter hours. Original, screwed white enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, small old restorations at the screws, central date display with steel hands, hours and minute hands in rose gold. Case with raised relief rim, engine turned back, fine reeded band.
Cuvette signed and numbered, movement signed, case and movement with matching numbers.
