Silver and gold chronograph

A Swiss silver and gold open faced lever chronograph, circa 1870. Early Geneva ankerchronometer movement, similar to the early Patek Philippe bridge movements with large chronometer balance, moustache lever and wolf’s toothing. White enamel dial with extremely rare chronograph scale, where the hand rotates the dial once in 15 seconds, but the scale shows increments from 1/4 to 40, time indication by red Roman numerals, high-quality rose gold hands. Case with a magnificent gold monogram on the back, maker’s mark EM. Case and movement with matching numbers. Comes with the original box.
