An extraordinary large Italian gold and silver open faced quarter repeating à toc et à tact verge pocket watch, circa 1770. Verge movement, repeating the hours and quarter hours. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, rare sun hands. Case worked in gold and silver, the back with blue engine-turned enamel, floral ornaments with jewels (some are missing), the rim with fine soundholes and lever for switching from bell repeater to silence, bell. Dial signed, cuvette and movement signed and numbered.
