Platinum skeletonized pocket watch by Cartier
–
An impressive and extra flat French platinum skeletonized pocket watch with matching platinum watch chain, circa 1980. Comes from a small series of which this piece is No. 1. A lavishly hand-engraved bridge movement, lever escapement, Glucydur screw balance, this remarkable movement has been reduced to its essence and any free surfaces have been intricately ornamented. Skeletonized dial. Plain case glazed on both sides, winding crown set with a diamond. Movement signed and numbered.
