French single-handed oignon with enamel portrait

A rare French oignon verge with enamel dial in silver and gilt case with a portrait on the balance cock, circa 1690. Full plate fire gilt fusee movement, slender Egyptian pillars. Cock with enamel portrait depicting a lady who plays the flute, three-arm steel balance with spiral blue steel hairspring. Small silver regulator index. Enamel dial set with large black Roman numerals, marked for the hours and quarters. Wound through the centre of the dial with single hand. Silver and gilt consular case, back fine decoratively engraved, decorated with foliage.
