Gold half hunting cased keyless lever watch

A fine American 18 carat yellow gold half hunter pocket watch made by the American Watch Co in Waltham, Massachusetts, and retailed by Hopkins and Hopkins in Dublin, circa 1909. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed American Watch Co., Waltham, Mass. The white enamel dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial, and blued steel hands. The timepiece is housed in a round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold half hunter case bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1909. It features a smooth polished front cover with an integrated circular glass aperture framed by a blue enamel Arabic numeral chapter ring for the hours, a smooth polished back cover, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow. The watch comes with a matching 9 carat yellow gold double curb link Albert chain with an integrated T bar.
