Waltham Art Deco Masonic pocket watch

A rare Art Deco Masonic 14 Carat gold filled fully functional pocket watch made by the Waltham Watch Factory in Waltham, USA, circa 1930. It has a plain full open faced case, a very rare Masonic dial with a cut out for the rotating seconds and blued Art Deco steel hands and a fine precision movement with 19 stones, gold chatons and a fine adjustment.
The dial and movement are signed.

Waltham Watch Company began life in 1849. It died in 1957, to be sold off to three brands, including Invicta. In the 1970s, it merged with other Swiss manufacturers, in a federation that itself died in 1981. And now, in March 2022, it’s back.
