An American 14K pink gold open faced keyless pocket watch, circa 1895. A polished case and hinged gold cuvette engraved A.H. Mitchell, Cincinnati, Ohio in a script. White enamel dial, radial fancy Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, outermost red five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 15 jewels, Geneva striping decoration, moustache lever escapement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, adjusted blued steel Breguet balance spring, cam-wheel micro-regulation. Case dial and movement signed by retailer, case and movement number.
