A fine American lever in a decorative three colours gold full hunter case, circa 1890. Full plate gilt keyless movement with going barrel. Engraved cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals and blue steel hands. Attractive 14 Carat full hunter case with engraved box hinges. The front cover engine turned, engraved and decorated with applied three colour goldwork, a large vacant shield shaped cartouche to the center. The back cover also engine turned, engraved and decorated with applied two colour gold work of a stag above a mountain range. Plain gold cuvette.
