A very fine and rare Swiss platinum, black lacquered, diamond, pearl and onyx set Art Deco lapel watch, circa 1926. Ovale, nickel plated movement, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with 5 adjustments, flat balance spring. Oval silvered dial with upright Arabic numerals, outer minute track and original blued steel Lozenge hands. Rectangular case, black lacquered, the front with onyx panel framed by diamond set platinum bars, centered by a navettecut diamond, the back lacquered, suspended from alternating black lacquer and diamond set platinum links terminating to platinum, black lacquer and pearl set brooch, large pearl winding crown. Dial and movement signed, case by Verger (numbered), brooch numbered. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
