A fine, very rare and large Swiss nickel open faced eight day going keyless motorist’s watch with inverted winding crown for dashboard mounting, circa 1910. Frosted gilt movement, 17 jewels, large going barrel, straight line lever escapement, mono-metallic balance, selfcompensating flat balance spring, index regulator. White enamel dial with upright Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 12 and original blued steel spade hands. Polished case, winding crown at 6 o’clock. Hinged nickel cuvette. Dial signed.
