A very fine, rare and large 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever pocket watch with chronograph and 30 minute register, circa 1906. Chronometro Gondolo. Sold on December 2nd, 1908. Frosted gilt movement, gold wheel train, 23 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature screws, Breguet balance spring with outer terminal curve, Patek Philippe micrometric cam regulator patented on January 13, 1891, chronograph work set on the back, activated by a push-piece in the crown. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second divisions, Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, 30 minutes register and original blued steel spade hands. Solid case, polished band and borders, engraved to the back, bolt at 1 o’clock to lock the chronograph. Dial, case and movement signed, case numbered. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
