Varicoloured gold, enamel and diamond-set watch with chatelaine

A fine and very rare French varicoloured gold, enamel and diamond-set verge pocket watch with dual date calendar and 18 carat varicoloured gold, enamel and diamond-set chatelaine, circa 1780. Gilt full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, pierced and engraved continental balance cock, regulator with engraved index on the backplate. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer gold dot minute indexes and Arabic fifteen-minute numerals, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week and seconds, original gold beetle and poker hands. Louis XVI case, bezel with a repeated pattern, the back with a royal blue translucent enamel centre applied with a rose-cut diamond-set monogram JMY, wreath and ribbon border set with rose-cut diamonds.
