A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1908. Retailed by Albert Edholm, Omaha, Nebraska. Sold November 21, 1910. Rhodium plated movement, patented bridge caliber, 20 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator. Gold hinged cuvette engraved Made in Geneva Switzerland for Robert H. Lord and presented by his wife, Christmas 1910. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds dial and original blued steel Breguet hands. Solid, polished case, bezel and back rim decorated with a foliage and leave design in black enamel, the back engraved with a foliate monogram RHL. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed, case numbered. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
