Interesting and unusual English nickel open faced multi-purpose chronograph keyless lever pocket timer, type J.53, with register and yacht timer, circa 1920. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 11 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, flat-rim balance with one adjustment, flat balance spring, index regulator, spare parts compartment with two screws. Nickel hinged cuvette. White enamel dial, outer seconds track and outer Arabic numerals 0-9, concentric red tachometer scale and two further timing scales, subsidiary 30-second register with yacht timing scale. Polished case, start/stop of the chronograph by depressing the crown, button at 11 for return-to-zero. Dial and movement signed.
