Gold open faced dress watch by Patek Philippe

A very fine, ultra-thin Swiss 18 carat gold open faced split-seconds chronograph keyless lever dress watch made for Tiffany & Co in 1906. Sold on February 26th, 1908. Nickel-silver movement, Geneva striping decoration, 24 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second division, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials and original blued steel poire hands. Solid, polished case, snapback, curved bezel, button at 11 for the split-seconds with locking bolt, button in the crown for the start/stop function of the chronograph. Dial, case and movement signed by retailer, movement also signed by watchmaker, case and movement numbered. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
