A very fine, rare and extra thin Swiss 22 Carat gold keyless lever dress watch set in a US 20 Dollar double eagle coin of 1897, made in 300 pieces in 1965. Copper coloured movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to two positions, self compensated balance spring, index regulator. Satine silver dial with black baton indexes and original blued steel baton hands. The hinged watch within the coin opening by a push-piece concealed in the band. Dial, case and movement signed.

Ref. BA 111.1763 was launched in 1965. 300 pieces were made with the ‘double eagle’ coin, as follows: BA 111.1707, simple coin watch, BA 111.1763, coin watch with pendant, and BA 111.1777, a wristwatch. The double eagle coin was placed in circulation for the first time in 1850. It features the bust of Liberty surrounded by thirteen stars, representing the original states of the Union.
