A very fine, rare and extra slim French/Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless lever dress watch, circa 1938-1939. Rhodium-plated movement by European Watch and Clock Co Inc., 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to two positions, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Matte silver dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and original blued steel Breguet hands. Polished case with London import marks for 1938-1939. Dial signed Cartier, case stamped LS.
