Gold hunting cased repeating chronograph by Patek Philippe

A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased five minute repeating chronograph keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1887. Retailed by Ernesto Haussmann, Roma. Sold on April 2nd, 1889. Rhodium plated, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, calibrated straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with concentric fifths of a second divisions with five minute Arabic numerals and original blued steel spade hands. Polished case, chronograph button at 5 o’clock locked when cover is closed. Dial, case and cuvette signed, movement and case numbered. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
