Gold and enamel open faced keyless chronometer by Vulcain

An extremely fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless chronometer watch, circa 1920. Rhodium-plated movement, 16 jewels, chronometer grade, five adjustments, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued Breguet balance spring. Silver dial with applied gold Breguet numerals, outer dot divisions for minutes and subsidiary seconds. Polished case, the back finely painted depicting the huntress Diana and an attendant who is holding a bow, with a dog nearby, the outer ring finely decorated with blue and green enamel with foliage pattern, the bezel also enamelled with a similar pattern. Movement, case and dial signed.
