Multicoloured triple cased repeating verge by De St. Leu

An extremely fine and rare English 18 carat multi coloured gold triple cased quarter repeating verge pocket watch made for the Islamic market, circa 1790. Gilt brass full plate movement, foliate engraved and with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass three arm balance, gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage, repeating with two hammers on a bell, stop slide in the band. Gilt dust cap. White enamel dial with Islamic numerals, outer minute divisions, five minute Islamic markers, original gold beetle and poker hands. Gilt metal outer case overlaid with tortoiseshell and pierced sound holes, the second case with a multi coloured gold military trophy in high relief within a polished wavy line border on the back, multi coloured gold foliate surround, the bezel decorated to match, the band of the inner case with pierced and chased foliage, pierced rosette in the center within a polished border, engraved bezel.
Dial, movement and dust cap signed. Movement and second case with the same number.
