A fine and rare Swiss nickel open faced keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1940. Rhodium plated movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Black enamel military dial with gilt outlined luminous Arabic numerals, outer gilt minute track, subsidiary seconds, the military issue number A.16408 painted gold below the signature and original luminous skeleton hands.  Polished case, screwed down back engraved with British Ministry of Defence issue numbers A.16408/G.S.MK.II. and the broad arrow mark. Dial, case and movement signed.
