A rare Swiss, nickel-cased, keyless military pocket watch with a black military dial, circa 1940. The case with the British Ministry of Defense issue numbers A.23186/G.S.MK.II. Made for military use. A polished case, screwed-down back engraved with the military issue numbers and the broad arrow mark. Black enamel dial, gilt-outlined luminous Arabic numerals, outer gilt minute track, subsidiary seconds, the military issue number A. 9246 painted gold below the signature. Skeleton hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
