A very fine, rare and thin Swiss platinum and diamond-set keyless lever Art Deco dress watch, circa 1924. Sold to Longines’ U.S. agent Wittnauer in 1924. Extra Superior, rhodium-plated movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to five positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, micrometre regulator.  Brushed silver dial with applied platinum and baguette diamond-set hour indexes, Arabic quarter-hour numerals set with round diamonds, outer engraved dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and original white gold arrow hands. Polished and brushed case, couteau band, the bezel and bow set with round white diamonds, snap-on back with engraved monogram JJS, the interior engraved with presentation inscription. Dial and movement signed, case and movement numbered. Accompanied by an original Tiffany box.
