Gold and enamel open faced repeater by Touchon & Co

A very fine and rare Swiss 14 carat gold and enamel open faced minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1910. Adjusted rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and swan-neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with black fancy Arabic numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original gold Louis XV hands. The polished case with a semi-concealed hinge, the back with an applied champlevé enamelled plaque with Methodist on a blue banner, a red cross below flanked by the initials SS and a crown on a white ground. Dial and movement signed.
