A fine, small Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and pearl set open faced verge pendant watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1810. Frosted gilt full plate movement, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three armed steel balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock with steel endplate, silvered regulation dial. Gold engine turned dial with black Arabic numerals on circular white enamel reserves, outer white enamel minute track and original blued steel Breguet hands. Empire case, pearl set bezels, reeded band, the back decorated with translucent royal blue enamel over sunray engine turning.
