A very fine, rare and slim Swiss 18 carat yellow and white gold, enamel open faced minute repeating keyless lever dress watch, circa 1920. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with 3 adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating with two hammers on two gongs activated by a slide in the band. Brushed silver dial with applied white gold Breguet numerals, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and original white gold cathedrale hands. Polished white gold case with engraved yellow gold bezels, foliate engraved panels alternating with black and blue champlevé enamel panels, the back with applied yellow gold monogram MVW within a white gold border. Dial, movement and case signed.
