A very fine, thin and elegant Swiss 18 carat gold minute repeating keyless lever dress watch, circa 1926. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with 8 adjustments, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs with two polished steel hammers, activated by a slide on the band. Matte silver dial with champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute track and original blued steel Breguet hands. Polished case, coin-edge band, the interior of the back cover with engraved presentation inscription dated 1926. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co Inc. Accompanied by a Cartier box and 14 carat gold long chain.
