A. Wittnauer & Co. is a Swiss watch shop founded by Eugène Robert in either 1866 or 1868 in Geneva. Prior to this, Robert established a watch shop with his brother-in-law, Albert Wittnauer, in the United States around 1845. After Eugène Robert withdrew from the company in 1890, Albert C. Wittnauer took over the business, and it was subsequently named A. Wittnauer & Co.
–
Wittnauer owned several agencies in the U.S. and Canada and exclusively offered watches from renowned Swiss companies such as Longines, Agassiz Watch Co., Angelus, Girard-Perregaux, and Louis Audemars. Additionally, the company operated its own watch factory under its name.
