A fine and large German silver open faced keyless lever pocket chronometer with power reserve indication made by made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, circa 1942. Frosted gilt ¾ plate movement with 17 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, Lange Guillaume balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with patent stud fastening and swan neck micrometre adjustment to the regulator. A hinged silver cuvette. A brushed silvered dial with black Arabic hours, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 3 o’clock, power reserve indication at 9 and blued steel spade hands. A polished case. Case and movement signed and numbered.
