A rare quarter repeating pair cased coach clock, circa 1720.
Outer case is covered with tortoiseshell, stud and knurl decoration, silver mountings, large lateral hinge. Inner case is silver, the back side and the front border pierced and finely florally hand engraved, rear bell, string for repetition, large lateral hinge. Champlevé dial, inlaid radial Roman hours, signed, blued Fleur-de-Lys hands. Full plate movement, applied, engraved, florally pierced decorations, firegilt, signed, chain/ fusee, Egyptian movement pillars, engraved barrel, 2 hammers, verge escapement, three arm steel balance, very finely florally engraved, pierced balance cock.
