An English silver keyless wind open faced Observation chronometer deck watch with wooden display box, London hallmark for 1914. Gilt 3/4 plate Swiss lever movement with broad arrow, cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial, Broad Arrow, black Roman numerals, black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel spade hands. Polished hinged case, Broad Arrow to back. Dial and movement signed, case stamped ‘ATO’. Accompanied by a wooden display box with inner paper label for ‘H.M. Chronometer Depot, Bristol’ and an ivory plaque signed ‘H. Williamson Ltd 16007 C↑W’.
