An English silver, gilt metal and tortoiseshell quadruple cased key wind verge pocket watch made for the Turkish market, London Hallmark for 1827. Gilt full plate fusee verge movement, pierced and engraved balance cock, hybrid pillars, silver regulation. Silver champlevé dial with black Turkish numerals, outer minute divisions, blued steel beetle and poker hands. Polished inner case and outer cases, third tortoiseshell case with piqué work decoration, polished gilt metal outer case with relief foliate decoration. Dial signed, case stamped JC.
