An English 18 carat gold hunting cased key wind chronometer pocket watch, circa 1870. Gilt 3/4 plate English lever movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, helical balance spring, pivoted detent escapement. Silvered engine turned dial with foliate engraved centre, applied gilt foliate decoration to centre and border, applied gilt Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel fleur de lys hands. Engine turned hinged case, plain cartouche to front within foliate border.
Dial and movement signed, case stamped LP&F. Accompanied by a key.
