Edward Banger (1668 – 1720) was apprenticed to Thomas Tompion in 1687 and became free of the Clockmakers Company in 1695. Tompion and Banger worked together between circa 1701 and 1708, when the partnership was abruptly (and somewhat mysteriously) terminated. Banger produced extremely few pocket watches under his own name, only three are still known to exist.
