An English 18 carat gold key wind minute repeating half hunter pocket watch with duplex escapement, London hallmark for 1834. Gilt 3/4 plate duplex movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, two polished hammers striking on two gongs. White enamel dial, black Roman numerals, black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel double spade hands.
Polished hinged case, Roman numeral chapter to front, monogram to back, repeat slide at 4. Movement signed, case stamped ‘AS’ probably for Shackman.
