An American white metal military navigational keyless wind open faced deck pocket watch issued from the MoD Hydrographic Department, circa 1942. 22 Jewel Swiss lever movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, adjusted to temperature & 6 positions. White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, black outer minute divisions, blued steel spade hands and centre seconds.
Brushed and polished case, screw down back, back engraved Navigation Master Watch Serial No.920-1942 overlaid with 0552/520-8049 ↑’. Case, dial and movement. Accompanied by wooden display box with MoD Hydrographic Dept. plaque numbered H.S.527-3637 and 920.
