A French 18 carat three colour gold and enamel open faced key wound verge pocket watch, circa 1780. Hinged verge movement. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Chased and engraved case with geometric design to the rims, case back with scroll and leaf motif centered with dog in a landscape, case opens to reveal a polychrome enamel portrait of a young couple in a pastoral scene. Movement and dial signed.
