A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless lever dress watch, circa 1920. Made for Tilden Thurber Co, Providence. Nickel finished lever movement, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf’s tooth winding. Inscribed gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds. Case with black enamel and gilt scroll and geometric motif to the front rim and band, hinged back enhanced with black enamel background with gilt urn and geometric floral and leaf motif. Case, cuvete, dial and movement signed by watchmaker, cuvette and movement signed by retailer.
