An English 18 carat gold hunting cased two train independent centre seconds keywound lever watch with flying fourths of a second, circa 1870. Nickel finished jewelled two train lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, blued steel moon style hands, independent centre seconds and subsidiary dial for flying fourths of a second, activated/stopped by depressing a button in the band. Engine turned case, ribbed band. Case stamped B.A.
