A fine, rare and attractive French 18 carat gold and diamond set open faced stoppable dead centre seconds keywound watch with Pouzait type slow beat lever escapement, circa 1800. Full plate gilt finished movement, Pouzait type slow beat lever escapement with large diamond set balance with two diamond set spiral arms, diamond endstone, all revealed through the glazed back. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals, gilt arrow hands and dead centre seconds. Case with seconds stop/start lever underneath the bezel at III.
