A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever watch with perpetual calendar and moon phases, circa 1910. Retailed by Chr. Grottendieck Bruxelles. Gilt finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf tooth’s winding, minute repeating on two hammers. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer five minute divisions with red Arabic numerals, four sunk subsidiary dials for day, date, month and moon phases with lunar calendar and constant seconds. Heavy case, engraved initials OC&i to the front, repeating slide in the band. Case and cuvette numbered, cuvette signed Chr. Grottendieck, Horloger, Bruxelles.
