A fine and attractive Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set keyless scarab form pendant watch with chain, circa 1910. Oval shaped gilt finished keyless cylinder movement. A glazed cuvette. White enamel dial with black Arabic hour numerals, a red 12, an outer minute track and spade hands. Scarab shaped case with finely engraved scroll decorated sides and realistically modelled reverse, all underneath the translucent red enamel on guilloché ground and diamond set wings, opening to reveal the dial, upper part and scarabs’ head with black and red enamel and diamond set decoration, ruby set eyes, curved antennae. Comes with a gilt chain of pierced stylized scarab form links.
