An English 18 carat gold and enamel open faced skeletonized keywound verge watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1751. Later gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, large three armed balance, rounded pilasters. White enamel dial with Turkish numerals. Skeletonized case with later crystals to front and back, red champlevé and white enamel border to the interior, bezel and rim with blue and red enamel and gilt sunburst motif, diamond set stem top and opening. Dial signed by Markwick Markham, movement signed by Robert Ward.
