An early, rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever split seconds chronograph watch, circa 1889. Nickel finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two hammers onto two gongs, repeat activated through a slide in the band. Gold cuvette engraved No. 80475 Manufactured for J.E. Booge Sioux City Iowa by Patek Philippe & Co. Geneva July 1890. White enamel dia with Roman numerals, outer calibrated minute track with Arabic five minute divisions and sunken subsidiary seconds. Polished case, monogrammed to the front with initials J.E.B., split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through two buttons in the band. Case, cuvette and dial signed, case, cuvette and movement numbered.
