A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced three hammer minute repeating keywound cylinder watch, circa 1850-1860. Gilt finished ruby cylinder movement, three armed balance, minute repeating on three hammers onto a gong, activated through the crown. Rose gold cuvette. Engine turned gilt dial, polished cartouches with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Engine turned case, locking mechanism in the band. Cuvette and dial signed, case numbered and stamped F.M.
