A rare French 18 carat gold 100 Franc coin watch, circa 1950. Nickel finished lever movement, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance. Silvered matte dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet numerals, all within a circular case composed of a gold 100 French Franc coin, with the head of Emperor Napoleon III to the cover, the reverse with the Imperial Coat of Arms, dated 1868, hinged cover. Dial and movement signed, case numbered with French hallmarks.
