A fine and rare Swiss gold and enamel open faced duplex watch with centre seconds made for the Chinese market, circa 1830. Polished steel duplex movement. Glazed cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and centre seconds. Large case, the bezels, band, pendant and bow all decorated with red and white champlevé enamel florets on black enamel, the back with a pair of doves amidst flowers and foliage executed in champlevé and painted enamel. Dial and movement signed.
