Gold and enamel triple cased quarter repeater by George Prior

A fine and rare English 18 carat gold and enamel triple cased quater repeating verge watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1810. Gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, finely pierced and engraved balance cock and foot, quarter repeating through a pusher in the pendant. Later white enamel dial with Turkish numerals. Pierced and engraved inner case, polychrome enamel scalloped secondary case with landscape and lake scene to the back cover, green, red and white champlevée enamel scroll and foliate decorated band and rim, plain bow, pierced and scalloped third case with polychrome enamel floral and scroll motif, clear open back. Movement signed and numbered, inner case numbered, inner and secondary case with London date stamp for 1733 and with case maker initial’s AN.
