An English 18 carat gold open faced key wind pocket watch made by John Roger Arnold in London, circa 1810. Retailed by William Gabriel in London. Gilt ¾ plate movement with an English lever escapement, a standing barrel, plain balance cock, good quality bimetallic balance with gold screws, blued steel duo in uno balance spring and diamond end stone. White enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gilt hands. A polished consular case. Dial signed Arnold, movement signed W. Gabriel 61 Cornhill London.
